Your chauffeur for Royal Ascot

Royal Ascot is five days of racing, fashion and tradition every June, and some of the busiest days of the year on the roads west of London. Travelling by chauffeur takes the stress out of it. You leave from your home, hotel or office, step out near the entrance looking your best, and never have to think about trains, parking or who is driving home.

Most guests book by the hour for the whole day. Your chauffeur drops you as close to your entrance as the race-day traffic arrangements allow, then waits nearby until you are ready to leave. We agree a collection point with you in advance, and you simply call when you are on your way out. Hourly hire has a 3-hour minimum for most cars and 4 hours for the Range Rover and Maybach, but a race day usually runs longer, so plan for the full day.

The long-wheelbase Range Rover is a natural choice for race days, with a high seat and plenty of room. The Mercedes S-Class and Mercedes-Maybach suit guests heading to the Royal Enclosure, and the Mercedes VLE takes a group of up to seven together, which is often simpler than several cars.

Demand for chauffeur cars is very high in Royal Ascot week, so book as early as you can. Your price is fixed when you book and includes VAT, and you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before.

Our tips for the day

Leave London early. Traffic on the approaches to Ascot builds well before the gates open, and a relaxed arrival is half the pleasure of the day.
Aim to be inside in good time for the Royal Procession, which opens each day's racing in the early afternoon.
Check your enclosure's dress code before you travel. The Royal Enclosure has the strictest rules, including morning dress for men, and the other enclosures have their own requirements.
Agree a collection point and rough time with your chauffeur before you go in. Phones are hard to hear in the crowds at the end of the day, so a clear plan saves time.
If you plan to stay for the singing round the bandstand after the last race, tell us so we can plan your collection around it.
Leave a pair of comfortable shoes and a warm layer in the car. Your chauffeur will look after them all day.
