Heathrow Terminal 2 tips

  • Give us your flight number, not just the time. We track it and confirm the terminal.
  • Allow time for passport control and baggage reclaim; your 30 minutes of free waiting starts at landing.
  • Keep your phone switched on after landing so your chauffeur can reach you if needed.
  • Going to Paddington, Marylebone or Notting Hill? Your chauffeur may take the A40 Westway when it is quicker.

Arriving at Heathrow Airport Heathrow Terminal 2

Terminal 2, also called the Queen's Terminal, sits in Heathrow's central area next to Terminal 3. It is mainly used by Star Alliance airlines, along with a number of other European and long-haul carriers. Check your booking for the terminal, and give us your flight number so we can confirm it.

The central area is reached through the tunnel under the northern runway, straight off the M4 spur. That makes Terminal 2 one of the quickest Heathrow terminals to leave by car. From the tunnel your chauffeur joins the M4 or the A4 into London, and Mayfair or Knightsbridge is usually 45 to 70 minutes away.

Terminal 2 is busy at peak times, and passport control can take a while when several long-haul flights land together. That is why your free waiting starts when your flight actually lands, not at the scheduled time. Keep your phone on, and take your time with baggage reclaim.
