Chauffeur service in Chobham

Chobham's High Street runs past St Lawrence Church, whose oldest parts date from about 1080, and keeps a mix of traditional shops and motor trades. Chobham Common stretches north of the village, the largest National Nature Reserve in south-east England, and a tank testing ground cut out of the heath gave its name to Chobham armour. The parish's eastern end borders the McLaren Technology Centre on Chertsey Road, Fairoaks Airport lies between Chobham and Chertsey, and Queenwood, a private members' golf club, is on Stonehill Road in neighbouring Ottershaw.

With no railway line, Chobham sits roughly midway between Woking and Sunningdale stations, and we meet trains at either for guests travelling out from Waterloo. The A319 passes through the village as Bagshot Road and Vicarage Road, linking west to the A322 near Junction 3 of the M3. The B383 Windsor Road heads north across the common towards Sunningdale and the A30. Heathrow is reached by the M3 or the M25, Gatwick by the M25, and the choice depends on the traffic when we set off.

Fairoaks handles light aircraft and helicopters, so a car can be waiting when you land and take you on to London or a larger airport. The common draws walkers to its free car parks at Staple Hill, Longcross and the Monument, a granite cross marking where Queen Victoria reviewed her troops in 1853. Coworth Flexlands, a prep school with a nursery in Valley End, brings a daily school run, and we can carry a wedding party to and from St Lawrence on the High Street.
