Our service in Windlesham and Bagshot
Bagshot grew as a staging post on the road from London to the West Country, and several of its old coaching inns still stand. On the northern edge of the village is Bagshot Park, a Crown Estate house that is the private home of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. Pennyhill Park, at the western edge, is a hotel and spa in 120 acres of parkland, and it houses the England Rugby Performance Centre where the national squad gathers for training camps. Windlesham, the smaller village to the north, includes Windlesham Moor, where the future Queen Elizabeth II lived soon after her marriage.
The M3 runs along Windlesham's northern side, with Junction 3 giving access from the A322, so Heathrow is a straightforward drive by the M3 and M25 and Gatwick follows round the M25. Bagshot station on Station Road is on the Ascot to Aldershot line, run by South Western Railway, while Sunningdale has the more frequent trains to London Waterloo. To the south-west, the A30 London Road carries on through Bagshot past the Jolly Farmer roundabout towards Camberley.
Pennyhill Park brings stays, spa days and dinners at Latymer, Hillfield and Themis. Golfers head to Windlesham Golf Club at Grove End, a parkland course designed by Tommy Horton and opened in 1994.
