Our service in Holland Park
Holland Park takes its name from the park and from Holland House, left a ruin by bombing in 1940. Around it are some of London's largest family houses: Ilchester Place is often ranked Britain's most expensive street, and the Phillimore estate lies on the area's fringe. We cover airport runs, dinners and the school run, and visitors come for Leighton House on Holland Park Road, once the home of the painter Frederic Leighton, and for the Design Museum in the former Commonwealth Institute.
Holland Park Avenue is the area's main road, part of the A402 from Notting Hill Gate to the Holland Park Roundabout, where it meets the West Cross Route, and it is a busy artery for most of the day. Holland Park station on the Central line sits on the avenue itself, and Kensington (Olympia) is the nearest Overground stop. For the airport, we track your flight, meet you in arrivals and leave the first hour after landing free, with airport parking covered in that hour.
Each summer Opera Holland Park stages a three-month festival under a canopy in front of the Holland House ruins. There is no parking at the theatre, but cars can set down and collect at the park gates, and after the performance only the Ilchester Place, Abbotsbury Road car park and Duchess of Bedford's gates stay open, so we wait at the one you choose. The rebuilt Olympia on Hammersmith Road brings evening trips too, and Norland Place School and Holland Park School bring the morning runs.
