Our service in Henley-on-Thames
Henley-on-Thames is a rowing town before it is anything else. Leander Club stands on the Berkshire bank at Remenham, Phyllis Court Club keeps its riverside lawns on the Marlow Road, and the Relais Henley, the old Red Lion coaching inn, sits at the foot of Hart Street by the bridge. We drive club members and their guests, families at Shiplake College upstream, and residents of the RG9 villages heading into London or out to an airport. Every chauffeur is our own, TfL-licensed and never subcontracted.
Henley Bridge carries the A4130 between Hart Street and the Berkshire bank, and in Regatta week the county council stops through traffic on it and makes Hart Street one-way eastbound. We plan routes and drop-off points around those signs instead of queuing into them. By rail, Henley is the end of a short branch line from Twyford, where London passengers usually change, so a car door to door is often simpler with luggage. Heathrow is the usual airport. We track your flight, meet you in arrivals with a name board, and the first 60 minutes after landing are free, parking included.
Henley Royal Regatta, at the turn of June and July, is the busiest week of the year, and the Henley Festival follows the week after with black-tie evenings beside the bridge. Henley Women's Regatta uses the same course in June. Away from the river, Stonor Park in the valley north of the town hosts a small number of marquee weddings each year, Henley Golf Club plays at Harpsden, and Hotel du Vin fills the old Brakspear brewery on New Street. For long days at the river we can keep the car with you by the hour.

On the road
- In Regatta week Oxfordshire County Council stops through traffic on Henley Bridge, bans the left turn from the bridge into Thames Side and makes Hart Street eastbound only, so we plan approaches from the Berkshire and Fairmile sides around the signs.
- Waiting has also been banned in recent Regatta weeks on parts of the A4130 Fairmile, Deanfield Avenue and Greys Road, so we agree a pickup point in advance rather than counting on stopping at the kerb.
Questions about Henley-on-Thames
Where will the chauffeur drop us for Henley Royal Regatta?
The Regatta's main taxi drop-off is on the A4130, a short walk from the enclosures, and the town centre also works. Henley Bridge is closed to through traffic that week, so we confirm the exact point with you beforehand.
Can you collect us after the Henley Festival finishes?
Yes. The Festival is entered from the Berkshire side of Henley Bridge. Your chauffeur is in place before the last act ends and messages you a meeting point, so you are not hunting for a taxi in black tie.
Is there a direct train from Henley to London?
Rarely. Henley is the end of a branch line from Twyford, so most trips mean a change there for Paddington. A car goes door to door, which helps with luggage or after a late dinner.
Do you cover Leander Club and Phyllis Court in Regatta week?
Yes. Leander is on the Remenham bank and Phyllis Court is on the Marlow Road, so each route is planned separately around the Regatta restrictions. Book early for that week.
